Lawrence Boeder is often hailed as one of the nation's leading interior designers. Originally from Minnesota, he did his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Minnesota and at Chicago's Harrington Institute of Design. After several years of work at a design firm, he founded his own company in 1975. Lawrence Boeder Interior Design has expanded over the decades, and has grown from its Chicago base to include clients across the country. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Traditional Homes, Chicago Magazine, North Shore Magazine, Chicago Home & Garden, Midwest Living, and Spectacular Homes. Lawrence draws inspiration from many sources: a lifelong love of painting, art, and architecture; a deep admiration for traditional European homes; a fascination with artwork and artisans ranging from traditional European masters to Native American craftspeople and the modern painters of Central and South America; and the excitement of embarking upon each new design project with his clients. He is the father of five children, and he and his wife live in Chicago.
